Starting today, I'll be sharing 50 new paintings/drawings over the next 50 days leading up to my 50th birthday! Annnnnd...I’m going to give away the first day's painting on my birthday, August 25th! (See notes below for how to be included in the drawing)

 

I'll post the work on Facebook, Instagram, and my website each morning, and I'll send weekly updates via email. For fifty days I'll be sharing (1) a painting or drawing, (2) a video of me discussing the painting, (3) and a bit of writing to accompany that day’s work. 

 

I had an exhibit scheduled for early June, but of course I had to cancel it. I came up with this idea and gave myself the freedom to try new things and experiment with different styles and mediums. I really hope you’ll enjoy them!

 

What I’m going to miss MOST about not having a big party/opening reception is seeing everyone and talking to you. One of my goals with this project is to create a platform where people engage with the work or the writing I share each day. It won't be a face to face conversation, but hopefully we can create some virtual dialogue, inspiration, and brief spots of light in our days.

 

A few notes:

• Days 2-50 will be for sale unless noted as sold on the website. I’ll post at 9:00 AM each day. If you’re interested in the piece, please email, text, or call.

• Each day of the week I’ll write about a different theme/topic. I want this project to mark 50 years of living and learning, so I hope to push the boundaries of what I write about.

• Sundays will be “Q&A Sunday,” so I need YOUR help! Ask me anything! You can ask about the creative process or something about me personally. I think these Sunday Q&A posts could be really fun and interesting, so I'm looking forward to your questions!
