Day 30/50 • "What This Painting Means to Me Wednesday"

Five things:

 

1. There's beauty in taking a chance and asking random strangers if you can take photos of their kids jumping off boat houses into a lake.

2. When you start a drawing and it looks like dirt, take a chance and paint over it. 

3. Light. Do everything you can to bring light to life on the page. 

4. Shadows. Light doesn't come to life unless it's in the context of darkness.

5. Jump. Always jump.
